United Tractors (UT/the Company) was established in 13 October 1972 as exclusive distributor of Komatsu heavy equipment in Indonesia. In 19 September 1989, the Company went public and listed its shares in Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchange as PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), with PT Astra International Tbk as the majority shareholder. Aside of being the largest distributor of heavy equipment in the country, the Company also plays an active role in the field of mining contracting and has recently ventured into coal mining business. The three major business units are known as Construction Machinery, Mining Contracting and Mining.

Construction Machinery

CM

Construction Machinery business unit brings forth the Company's role as the sole distributor of Komatsu, Nissan Diesel, Scania, Bomag, Valmet and Tadano. The extensive product range allows the Company to cater to the country's major sectors: mining, agribusiness, construction, forestry, material handling and transportation. After-sales-services are available to all customers throughout nationwide network that encompasses 18 branch offices, 15 site-support offices and 12 representative offices.

The business unit is also supported by subsidiaries that provide related products and services, such as PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE), PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia (KRA) and PT Bina Pertiwi (BP).

Mining Contracting

Mining Contracting business unit is managed through one of the Company's subsidiaries, PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama). Established in 1988, Pama provides a range of world-class mining services that extends from mine design, exploration, extracting,hauling, barging and loading. Operating in major coal mining projects in various parts of the country, Pama is widely known as the largest and most commendable coal mining contractor in Indonesia.

Mining

CM

Mining business unit refers to the Company's most recent venture as a coal mine operator through the acquisition of PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ), a subsidiary of Pama. The acquisition was fully completed in April 2007. Located in Rantau, South Kalimantan, DEJ mine contains high quality coal of 6,700 kcal, with production capacity of about 3.5 million tons per annum.
