One of the programs is to ensure the product’s spare parts availability.
Fortunately, the principle office in Sweden fully supports the program
and guarantees on time supply of its spare parts. After sales service
is indeed not a new concept in Scania, as the company has always been
proactive in finding out the customers’ latest requirements. Therefore,
by the time customers need consultation, Scania’s staff would always
be ready to assist them, including how to identify the right spare parts
in no time.
Accuracy
and punctuality are the key to Scania’s after sales service worldwide.
Scania Parts guarantees the availability of all spare parts, not just
for certain items. Each unit of Scania’s spare parts can be delivered
to any place in the world within 24 hours. This guarantee will benefit
customers even though cases of break down rarely happens, even for aging
units.
As the official distributor for Scania’s trucks and buses, delivering
Scania’s standard after sales service is UT’s ultimate obligation.
Since November 2004, UT has been providing 81% availability of Scania’s
spare parts with total investment of Rp 6.95 billion. The spare parts
are available for in demand products, such as P113, K114, P114, P124,
K124, R164, and other products with the total number of 1,137 items.
Other after sales service are:
- Vendor management inventory, where both UT and customer can arrange
contract parts base. Valid for certain period of time, this contract
stipulates the arranged price and the availability of spare parts. The
availability is guaranteed by regular and monitored schedule of spare
parts delivery.
