Participants also join an interactive podcast session titled “Smart Ways to Manage Waste and Adopt a Sustainable Lifestyle,” featuring Nada Arini, a digital creator known as an eco-conscious mom, and Ikbal Alexander, an environmental activist and founder of Kertabumi Recycling Center. During the session, both speakers share insights on the importance of building self-awareness in waste management at the source, reducing single-use plastic consumption, and adopting simple sustainable lifestyle practices.

The discussion identifies several systemic challenges in Indonesia’s waste management ecosystem while also exploring practical solutions that can be implemented at both household and community levels. One of the key issues highlighted is the declining motivation among households to separate waste, driven by the reality that waste sorted at home is often mixed again during collection and transportation.

To address this challenge, both communities and companies are encouraged to take a more active role by directly delivering sorted waste to nearby waste banks rather than disposing of it in general waste bins. Through this proactive approach, recyclable materials with economic value can enter the circular economy, while landfills can be reserved for residual waste that cannot be processed or reused.

Jakarta, 12 June 2026 – PT Tuah Turangga Agung (Turangga Resources), a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), receives global recognition by achieving the Gold Award for Best Environmental Sustainability at the International Sustainability Awards (ISA) 2026. Turangga Resources is the sole Indonesian mining company to receive an award in this category. 

The award is announced during a virtual ceremony, attended by hundreds of organizations from more than 50 countries. The International Sustainability Awards (ISA) is a prestigious event that recognizes organizations, teams, and individuals demonstrating commitment and tangible contributions in the environmental, social governance, and sustainable innovation sectors. 

Director of Turangga Resources, Arianto Sasono, states that the award serves as motivation for the company to continue enhancing innovation and sustainable business solutions. “This award motivates us to explore the boundaries of sustainable innovation and demonstrate that business growth and environmental sustainability should, and must, go hand in hand,” Arianto says. 

Turangga Resources receives the award for its success in implementing the Watershed Rehabilitation Program (Rehab DAS) in the Kapuas-Kahayan administrative area in the Central Borneo province. This program covers areas across Tumbangnusa village at the Jabiren Raya District as well as the Sei Ahas, Katimpun, and Katunjung villages at the Mantangai District. The company successfully rehabilitates 5.077 hectares of land into a more sustainable and healthy peatland ecosystem through integrated ecosystem rehabilitation efforts. 

The rehabilitation program involves three main approaches: peatland hydrological restoration (rewetting hydrology), large-scale revegetations, and community empowerment initiatives in the surrounding rehabilitation areas. In terms of hydrology restoration, Turangga Resources builds canal blocks and drills bore wells to retain peatland moisture, effectively minimizing risks of forest and overland fires. 

Throughout its seven years of program implementation, Turangga Resources plants over 6.2 million trees of various native species to support the restoration of ecological function while enhancing biodiversity. These efforts are complemented by a series of economic-oriented community empowerment programs, including the development of Community-Based Nurseries and the utilization of non-timber forest products, specifically purun plants, into eco-friendly straws. 

This achievement reflects Turangga Resources’ sustained effort in integrating sustainability principles into all operational activities. Jakarta, 11 June 2026 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reaffirms its commitment in advancing the quality of education and building youth resilience toward disasters through the Education of Disaster Preparedness Festival (FESDIKGANA) 2026. This event is made possible through a cross-collaboration between the company through UT ACTION (United Tractors for Emergency Response and Action) and the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Jakarta City (BPBD) in Block C of the Bambu Apus Aula located at the East Jakarta Mayoral Administration Office.

Adopting the theme “Siaga Bencana, Selamatkan Masa Depan” (Disaster Prepared, Safeguard the Future) , FESDIKGANA 2026 aims to improve disaster literacy, foster a culture of disaster risk awareness, and shape a generation of youths that are resilient and prepared to face a multitude of disaster potential. This is realized through educational competitions, including a Disaster Preparedness Poster Drawing Competition for elementary school students, participated in by 44 schools, and an Academic Quiz Competition for high school and vocational school students, which was participated in by 12 schools. 

Corporate Communications and Sustainability Division Head at UT, Dianwahyu Sri Purnomo, says that this activity is part of the Company’s contribution toward supporting the creation of resilient societies to disaster through early education for the youth. “We believe that fostering disaster preparedness is not only a responsibility of the government, and requires effective collaboration between multiple parties, including the participation of private industries. The event agenda begins with participant registration, a safety briefing, opening remarks, the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya and Mars Tangguh, competition briefing, competition commencement, entertainment session, a dance performance, activity reporting, remarks from the Mayor of East Jakarta City, a video screening of FESDIKGANA 2026, and ends with an announcement of the winners along with their award presentation. 

In the Disaster Preparedness Poster Drawing Competition category, Milan Arka from SDN Pondok Bambu 02 wins first, followed by Alisa Nur Khalilah from SDN Munjul 01 in second, and Khalisa Shezan Vindra from SDN Malaka Jaya 07 in third place. Meanwhile, in the Academic Quiz category, SMAN 71 East Jakarta City succeeds in achieving first place, followed by MAN 2 East Jakarta City in second place, and finally SMK Dinamika Pembangunan 2 Jakarta in third place. 

Through collaborations with relevant stakeholders, UT vows to continue supporting programs that are focused on enhancing societal capacity, education, and disaster preparedness. The harvest of 4 tons of shallots was carried out in collaboration with Karya Makmur Sentosa Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in Karanglo Village, Kerek District, Tuban Regency.

Tuban, 2 June 2026 – PT United Tractors Semen Gresik (UTSG), a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), in collaboration with Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Karya Makmur Sentosa of Karanglo Village, Kerek District, Tuban Regency, has successfully developed a shallot cultivation program that produced approximately four tons of high-quality shallots during this year’s harvest season. The harvest generated a total sales value of around IDR 120 million.

This achievement demonstrates that well-planned and collaborative management of local agricultural potential can create tangible economic benefits for rural communities. With a market price reaching IDR 30,000 per kilogram, the shallots harvested in Karanglo Village received positive responses from collectors and traders due to their quality and compliance with market standards.

Director of BUMDes Karya Makmur Sentosa, Nurhadi, stated that this harvest achievement was the result of strong collaboration among all stakeholders involved, including farmers, BUMDes management, the village government, and UTSG.

“We are grateful that this harvest season yielded approximately four tons of high-quality shallots. The entire harvest has been purchased by buyers for around IDR 120 million. This achievement proves that agricultural initiatives managed professionally and consistently can generate significant economic benefits for the community,” said Nurhadi.

Meanwhile, Village Facilitator from the Professional Village Assistance Program (PD TPP) of Kerek District, Bisrul Khaufi, also expressed appreciation for the success achieved through the collaboration between BUMDes, local communities, and the private sector in developing the village’s economic potential.

“This shallot harvest demonstrates how village potential can be optimized through strong collaboration among the community, village government, BUMDes, and the private sector. The results not only generate economic value but also serve as a best practice for developing village enterprises based on local resources,” said Bisrul.

UTSG’s support for the program has been delivered through agricultural mentoring, farmer capacity-building initiatives, and collaboration with the village government and BUMDes to develop high-value agricultural commodities. The program also reflects the company’s commitment to community empowerment and strengthening local economies through sustainable utilization of village resources.

The success of this shallot harvest is expected to serve as a foundation for the development of other leading agricultural commodities in Karanglo Village. Through continuous collaboration among UTSG, the village government, BUMDes, and local farmer groups, the program is expected to further strengthen the village’s economic independence while contributing to long-term community welfare.

Through the SOBAT program and the EdCO event, we aim to continue our support advancing youth competency to face future workplace challenges.”, Dianwahyu says. 

On this occasion, UT Palu Branch receives two education awards as a form of recognition of their contribution in the implementation of the SOBAT program at SMKN 4 Palu and the Central Sulawesi Province, including an award from the Central Sulawesi Provincial Governor to UT Palu Branch for their contribution in implementing the SOBAT program as well as an award from the Education Office of the Central Sulawesi Province for their support in the SOBAT program across the Central Sulawesi region.

EdCO Governor Cup II 2026 is an event dedicated to developing the entrepreneurial competency of students through a range of competitions, including a Startup Challenge/Pitch Deck, Video Marketing, Marketing Contest,  and an Academic Quiz. Through this event, participants are encouraged to strengthen their innovation capabilities, creativity, as well as marketing strategy, allowing them to better equip themselves in facing workplace and industry challenges in the future.

Jakarta, May 25, 2026 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) receives an award from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia in recognition of its contribution to supporting educational development, particularly vocational education, through the Sekolah Binaan United Tractors (SOBAT) program. The award is presented during the National Education Day 2026 commemoration at Plaza Insan Berprestasi, Jakarta.

UT receives the Dedicated Industry Appreciation: Industry Driver for Sustainable Vocational Education (SMK) Development and Supporting Partner for the National Achievement Center, including the Student Competency Competition (Lomba Kompetensi Siswa – LKS) and the National Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival (Festival Inovasi dan Kewirausahaan Siswa Indonesia – FIKSI). The award is received by the UT Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability Division, Dianwahyu Sri Purnomo. The event is also attended by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed., and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Ir. Suharti, M.A., Ph.D.
