Central Aceh, 3 July 2026 – Amid the recovery process following the flash floods that struck Central Aceh, students have remained committed to their education. Although learning activities are temporarily being conducted in evacuation tents under challenging conditions, teachers and students continue to demonstrate resilience and determination to ensure that education continues uninterrupted.
In response to these circumstances, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group invited its employees to participate in a book donation initiative to support schools in the affected areas. Through this initiative, a total of 826 textbooks were distributed to SDN 3 Linge and SMPN 9 Takengon, comprising 480 books for SDN 3 Linge and 346 books for SMPN 9 Takengon.
“This assistance reflects the care and spirit of solidarity demonstrated by UT Group employees toward communities recovering from the disaster. We hope these books will become valuable learning resources for students and inspire teachers to continue guiding them in pursuing their dreams,” said Himawan Sutanto, CSR Manager of UT.
The book distribution was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), based on recommendations from the beneficiary schools, with support from the Central Aceh Regency Education Office to ensure the assistance reached the schools that needed it most.
For students, these textbooks are more than just learning materials, they symbolize that they are not facing this difficult time alone. Continued support from various stakeholders is expected to provide renewed motivation for both teachers and students, enabling them to continue the learning process until school conditions fully recover.
