PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), supports Indonesia’s transition toward clean energy through the development of Rooftop Solar Power Plants (PLTS). Most recently, on April 30, 2025, EPN is entrusted by PT Inti Pantja Press Industri (IPPI) to install rooftop PLTS systems at two of IPPI’s operational sites in Karawang and Bekasi.

This rooftop PLTS installation forms part of IPPI’s commitment to supporting government programs aimed at reducing carbon emissions and adopting more environmentally friendly production processes. Through this project, EPN constructs rooftop solar power systems with a total capacity of 807.69 kWp, serving as a renewable energy source that supports the sustainability of IPPI’s operations.

The rooftop PLTS inauguration ceremony is attended by Asep Iwan Gunawan, Director of Supply Management and Procurement at EPN; Feryanto Setyadi, President and Director of IPPI; and Riana Budi Wijayanti, Director of IPPI.

“The inauguration of this solar power system symbolizes a real collaboration between companies in creating a greener and more sustainable future. It reflects a shared spirit and commitment to contributing to environmental preservation,” Asep Iwan Gunawan states.

The rooftop PLTS is designed to supply many of IPPI’s electricity needs from clean and renewable energy sources. Based on technical calculations, the installation generates approximately 823,042 kWh of electricity per year. Additionally, the system is expected to reduce carbon emissions by around 691 tons of CO₂ annually, which is equivalent to planting approximately 31,409 trees each year.

“We appreciate IPPI’s trust in EPN to execute this strategic project. This success proves our implementation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and strengthens the positive synergy within the Astra Group value chain,” Asep adds.

Through this project, EPN continues to promote the use of renewable energy in Indonesia’s industrial sector. The synergy between EPN and IPPI is expected to serve as a tangible example of mutually reinforcing collaboration among industry players in building a greener and lower-carbon ecosystem.
