Jakarta, February 2026 – Digital transformation is no longer merely a technology project but a journey of change that reshapes mindsets, ways of working, and industrial growth. This commitment leads PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia (KRA) to receive the Indonesia Industry Readiness Index (INDI) 4.0 – Smart Factory Category award from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. The award ceremony takes place at the Astra Honda Motor Safety Riding & Training Center on 6 February 2026.
KRA Director Nasihin receives the award directly and represents the company at the certificate presentation ceremony.
In his speech, Nasihin emphasizes that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of all KRA personnel. The INDI 4.0 award results from the commitment of all KRA employees in implementing integrated digital transformation. “We build a smart factory that not only adopts technology but also fosters a data-driven work culture, strengthens safety standards, and promotes continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. Going forward, KRA continues to accelerate digital innovation as part of our contribution to the national manufacturing industry,” says Nasihin.
This award recognizes KRA’s readiness and consistency in implementing an integrated, sustainable Industry 4.0-based digital transformation. The achievement further reinforces the Company’s support for the national Making Indonesia 4.0 program, which aims to enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s manufacturing sector.
Through the INDI 4.0 initiative, the Ministry of Industry conducts comprehensive assessments of industrial readiness for the adoption of digital technologies. The evaluation covers smart production systems, data integration and utilization, human capital competency development, industrial ecosystem collaboration, and technology-based safety implementation.
The assessment of KRA takes place in August 2025, conducting a thorough evaluation of the digitalization of business processes, collaboration among industry, academia, and government, and the strengthening of technology-based occupational safety systems. This assessment serves as an important benchmark to ensure that transformation efforts are directed and sustainable.
For KRA, a smart factory is not merely about automation or sophisticated digital systems. It represents the integration of technology, people, and a culture of continuous improvement. This transformation enables remanufacturing processes to become more precise, efficient, safe, and adaptive to industry dynamics. With a strong commitment to sustainability and technological innovation, KRA continues to make progressive strides in strengthening a resilient, sustainable industrial foundation.
