Central Kalimantan, October 28 2025 – In commemoration of Sumpah Pemuda’s day, PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB), a subsidiary of PT Tuah Turangga Agung (Turangga Resources) and part of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group, officially open its Coal Processing Plant (CPP) and Washing Plant 2. The inauguration was marked by the “First Hauling Operation: After Wash” ceremony, led by President Director of Turangga Resources, Hendra Hutahean, attended by President Director of ABB, Efredi Yudianto, along with the ABB management team.

The construction of CPP and Washing Plant 2 represents a strategic step by ABB in supporting Turangga Resources Total Ton Annually target of 15 million tons of coal sales, which has been set since December 1, 2022. With ABB contributing approximately 55-60% of the total target, the new facilities are expected to significantly enhance production capacity.

“The operation of CPP and Washing Plant 2 today demonstrates ABB’s commitment to continuous innovation and to supporting Turangga Resources’ long-term strategy. These facilities stand as proof of ABB’s dedication to increasing production capacity, improving product quality, and driving operational efficiency, enabling the company to achieve its 15 million tons sales target by 2026.” said President Director of ABB, Efredi Yudianto.

The Board of Directors of PT Asmin Bara Bronang attended the inauguration ceremony of the Coal Processing Plant & Washing Plant 2 facilities.

The Washing Plant 2, integrated with the CPP, has a processing capacity of 425 tons per hour, equivalent to 3 million tons per year. The facility is equipped with Dense Medium Separator (DMS) technology, which separates coal from impurities based on density differences to produce high-quality coal. Supporting infrastructure, including a new hauling road, has also been developed to connect the mining site, CPP, Washing Plant 2, and the port. The construction involved collaboration among various vendors, contractors, consultants, and ABB’s internal project team. During the inauguration ceremony, ABB management expressed appreciation to all parties who contributed to the completion of this strategic project.

With a significant investment in new mining sectors and modern processing facilities, ABB reaffirms its commitment to continuous growth and competitiveness. The increasing amount of “dirty coal” from newly opened mining sectors can now be optimally processed through Washing Plant 2. Both the CPP and Washing Plant 2 are designed to operate sustainably and efficiently, supporting Turangga Resources’ long-term production goals while maintaining high-quality standards and environmental sustainability.
