Jakarta, April 19th,2023 – To celebrate Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H, UT Group held the 2023 homecoming with “Mudik Bareng Scania Lagi Yuk” as a theme. Scania Buses are Bus products with a high level of comfort and safety, distributed by UT for Indonesian market. The homecoming ceremony was carried out simultaneously by the UT Group located at the Head Office of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) (Cakung) and PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) (Pulogadung), as well as PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE) (Cikarang).

UT Group employees and their families attended this activity; 1.089 participants used 33 units of Scania bus with Malang, Surabaya, Blitar, Semarang, Solo, Wonogiri, Yogyakarta, and Cilacap as the final destinations. The homecoming ceremony was carried out by UT Group Board of Directors, and attended by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Menaker RI), Ida Fauziyah.

The Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Ida Fauziyah, in her speech, explained the homecoming tradition had become part of the culture of Indonesian society and the most awaited moment of the year. This year is a reasonably large homecoming, so tolerance is needed to realize security and safety during the trip.

“I appreciate the UT Group for organizing homecoming with employees in 2023. Holding this program is not only a gathering place for families, but also has a positive impact on economic equality in Indonesia,” said the Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah.

Based on a survey by the Transportation Policy Agency (Baketrans) of the Ministry of Transport, The national movement in Eid 2023 potentially reach 45.8% or 123.8 million people, with the most potential movement in Java Island with 62.5% or 77.3 million people. Hence, the government urges private companies to organize joint homecoming to reduce the number of accidents and road congestion.

UT Group supports this appeal by holding a joint homecoming to facilitate safe and comfortable for employees. UT Group also provides health check service and ensures health protocols. UT Group’s commitment to considering employee safety by organizing this program aligns with the Company’s efforts to consistently deliver positive contributions to employees and their families.

Through this program, UT Group hopes employees can have a wonderful homecoming and return to Jakarta safely. In addition, it can provide a memorable experience and strengthen relationships between employees and within UT Group family.

The event began with participants’ registration, and continued with a speech from Ida Fauziyah (The Indonesian Minister of Manpower), Frans Kesuma (President Director UT) or Edhie Sarwono (Director of UT), and Mulyono (Chairman of the Labor union). After that, a joint prayer and homecoming ceremony were marked by flag waving.
