Commemorating World Environment Day, United Tractors Held the 2023 EnviroFest

Jakarta, June 8th,2023 – As a form of participation in celebrating World Environment Day, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) held the 2023 EnviroFest with “Delivering Real Action to Solve Plastic Pollution” as the theme. This program begins with a talk show via ZOOM Meeting.

The speakers who participated in this talk show were Sara K. Loebis (Head of Corporate Governance & Sustainability), Drs. Wahyudi Rudiyanto, M.Sc (Head of Supervision and Law Enforcement for DKI Jakarta Environmental Service), Eko Gumelar Susanto (Head of East Jakarta Environmental Sub-Department), and Kirana Agustina (Ocean & Waste Expert).

At the event’s opening, the Recycling Centre’s inauguration was also held, which is one of UT’s commitments in solid waste management. UT had this program to reduce the amount of waste that will end up in landfills. This Recycling Center uses an end-to-end management basis to create a circular economy.

In his speech, the Head of Supervision and Law Enforcement at the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency, Wahyudi Rudiyanto, explained that the existence of a recycling centre at UT could become a benchmark for other companies in waste management within the Company’s scope.

“The awareness of the environment is very important to convey to the younger generation with the aim of continuing this awareness in the future,” said Sara K. Loebis, Head of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Division.

The EnviroFest 2023 series will also be filled with various events, such as Emission Tests, Waste Bank Workshops, Awareness Programs, competitions such as Drop It and Beauty Bin, as well as programs that involve the community in raising awareness and developing innovations that can become environmental projects. Through this event, it is hoped to increase the awareness of all participants to pay attention to environmental sustainability.
