Jakarta, December 16th,2022 – Corporate Secretary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), Sara K. Loebis won the Indonesia Best Corporate Secretary Award 2022 in the Construction Machinery and Heavy Equipment category organized by The Iconomics. This appreciation shows the important role of the Corporate Secretary in maximizing the implementation of GCG (Good Corporate Governance) in every UT business operation.

Chairman of the Executive Board of the National Committee on Governance Policy (KNKG), Prof. Dr. Mardiasmo, MBA., Akt, emphasized that the corporate secretary has a very important role in the implementation of GCG due to an impact on the company’s business, both in terms of financial performance and the image of the company not only to the public but also investors.

This award is also concrete proof that UT has succeeded in scoring a positive performance amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The award which took place in a hybrid manner at the Le Meridien Hotel Jakarta and broadcasted online via the Youtube channel Iconomics TV on Friday (16/12/2022) has several assessment criteria, which are assessment of qualitative data over the last 2 years to become a benchmark in knowing the performance of the company’s corporate secretary.

The qualitative data is calculated based on 4 indicators consisting of Compliance, Corporate Plan, Performance Statement, and Responsibility. Each of these assessment indicators relates to the company’s compliance with existing regulations, the planning strategy to be carried out and the information provided widely, including company performance and the development of internal information for investors, as well as the company’s responsibility to external parties.

Through this award, UT is committed to improving GCG implementation in all of its business operations. Not only that, UT also puts forward the sustainability targets that have been contained in UT’s 10 sustainability aspirations so that the Company’s vision and mission can be achieved by creating benefits for stakeholders and prosperity of Indonesia.
