Jakarta, September 10, 2025 – PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), a renewable energy issuer, through its subsidiary PT Nosu Hydro, officially signs a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PT PLN (Persero). Through this agreement, ARKO will operate the 20-megawatt (MW) Pongbembe Hydropower Plant (PLTA Pongbembe) in South Sulawesi for 30 years from the start of commercial operations.
ARKO’s President Director, Aldo Artoko, states that the signing of this PPA strengthens the Company’s growth strategy in delivering clean energy for Indonesia. This collaboration also marks a significant milestone that supports operations, financial performance, and sustainable business growth in the future.
As of the first half of 2025, ARKO records a 20% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit, reaching IDR 36.9 billion. This growth is supported by a 42.1% YoY increase in revenue to IDR 142.5 billion. The Company’s electricity production also shows significant growth, reaching 74.3 GWh, up 48.9% YoY. The growth is driven by the operation of the Yaentu Project in Central Sulawesi in the fourth quarter of 2024, as well as contributions from previously operational projects, namely the Cikopo Project in West Java and the Tomasa Project in Central Sulawesi.
In addition, ARKO is currently developing several projects under construction, including the Kukusan II Project (5.4 MW) in Lampung, which records 83.2% progress, and the Tomoni Project (10 MW) in South Sulawesi, which records 32.9% progress as of the first half of 2025.
Through this strategic collaboration with Nosu Hydro, ARKO continues to support the national energy transition towards environmentally friendly resources. With a growing project portfolio, strong financial support, and consistent performance growth, ARKO remains optimistic about playing an active role in expanding access to clean energy while delivering sustainable value for society, stakeholders, and a greener future for Indonesia.
