Jakarta, 27 August 2026 – Following the acquisition of the solar power plant (PLTS) project owned by PT Endorshine Energy Solutions, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) continues expanding in the solar energy sector by developing three new PLTS projects in the same city. This time, the expansion is secured through operational lease agreements with PT Batamindo Investment Cakrawala (“BIC”), PT Bintan Inti Industrial Estate (“BIIE”), and PT Bintan Resort Cakrawala (“BRC”).
ARKO is implementing the agreement through PT Endorshine Energi Matahari (“EEM”), its subsidiary focused on solar power projects. These three projects are ARKO’s third, fourth, and fifth solar power projects, with a combined capacity of 34 MWp and a 28.3 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The BESS in these three projects is a key differentiator from the Company’s previous solar power portfolio. BESS allows solar energy generated during the day to be stored and distributed as needed, including at night or during cloudy weather, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply at all times.
Following the Company’s first and second solar power projects, this operational lease agreement marks a new chapter for the Company, as it is now also building the project from the ground up and integrating BESS for the first time. This reaffirms the Company’s commitment to innovate with more advanced new and renewable energy (NRE) technology.
With this new agreement, the Company now has a total contracted capacity of 118.1 MW, comprising six hydropower projects (62.8 MW) and five solar power projects (55.3 MWp), three of which are equipped with 28.3 MWh of BESS. In line with this expansion, the Company still holds a total pipeline capacity exceeding 300 MW, underscoring further expansion opportunities in the NRE sector and supporting the Government’s efforts to achieve its energy transition and Net Zero Emission (NZE) target by 2060.
Director of PT Arkora Hydro Tbk, Ricky Hartono, states that the solar power projects to be built at BIC, BIIE, and BRC reflect the Company’s genuine commitment to continuously innovate in delivering reliable clean energy solutions.
“While our first and second solar power projects, which we recently acquired, are already operational assets, this time we are building from the ground up. Additionally, for the first time, we integrate BESS into these solar power projects. This reflects our efforts to maximize value for our shareholders and all our partners. This is part of our commitment to continue growing, both organically and inorganically, while expanding the Company’s contribution to providing clean energy, in line with our vision of lighting up Indonesia with renewable energy and supporting the acceleration of the national energy transition,” Ricky concludes.
Through continuous expansion and innovation, ARKO strengthens its role in advancing renewable energy development in Indonesia. By combining business growth, technology adoption, and a strong commitment to sustainability, the Company remains confident in its ability to deliver clean energy solutions that create long-term value for shareholders and partners while helping accelerate Indonesia’s national energy transition.
