Amid rapid technological advancements and the rise of the new generation of artificial intelligence (Gen-AI), PT Bina Pertiwi (BP) continues to prove that the human touch remains at the heart of sustainable growth. BP achieves remarkable feats through a strong commitment to nurturing, developing, and appreciating its human resources by winning three strategic awards at the HR Excellence Award 2025.
This event is organized by SWA Magazine in collaboration with the Management Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LM FEB UI), and takes place at the Shangri-La Hotel Ballroom, Jakarta, on July 16, 2025. Carrying the theme “Accelerating Sustainable Growth through Human-Centered Approaches in the Age of Gen-AI,” the event serves as a reminder that progress is not solely about technology but about the people who drive it.
BP receives awards in Learning and Development, Well-being Management, Reward Management, and Talent Retention Strategy. The awards are accepted directly by BP’s President Director, Mahmudi, on behalf of the entire company.
“We believe that a competent, resilient, and adaptive workforce is the key to productivity, directly impacting company performance. It’s not just about numbers; it’s about people growing alongside the company,” says Mahmudi in his speech.
He also notes that following BP’s previous Platinum recognition from Astra Group for its transformation in business processes and human capital management, these new awards mark another milestone toward broader standards and greater recognition.
The awards are based on three leading indicators that reflect how HR plays a central role in business strategy: the alignment of HR programs with corporate strategy, integration with other HR systems, and tangible impact on the organization and its people.
BP’s commitment to human development is evident through various initiatives. In learning, BP launches the BP EDC (Excellence Directory of Competencies) and the digital learning platform ELENA, providing training access for all employees. Learning transforms from a mandate to a fulfilling experience.
Moreover, BP understands that people need more than just skills; they must be healthy, happy, and valued. That belief gives rise to well-being programs covering five dimensions: physical, mental, social, financial, and self-development. These include BP Bergerak, healthy catering, gym facilities, counseling services, and hobby-based communities that nurture emotional well-being and strengthen interpersonal bonds.
Just as vital, BP creates a culture of appreciation that goes beyond formal recognition to a genuine emotional connection. Through total rewards and employee experience programs that span the employee journey from onboarding to retirement, initiatives like TILIC (Time to Loving and Caring), A Night to Remember, Excellent Employee, and PORSENI (sports and arts festival) demonstrate sincere gratitude, strengthening loyalty and internal motivation.
All the initiatives are built on a belief: the company can grow further when people are genuinely cared for. BP believes the fusion of technology and humanity is the key to a more sustainable future. In this Gen-AI era, BP remains steadfast as a company where people grow, are valued, and are part of something bigger.
