Jakarta, July 28th, 2023 – To support the reduction of stunting rates in Indonesia, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) is establishing a strategic collaboration with KG Media and the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) through the Universal campaign program to prevent stunting with the #CukupDuaTelur Movement. This movement is part of UT’s commitment to accelerating sustainable development and efforts to improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia.

The Universal Movement Prevents Stunting is an intensive intervention and assistance program for foster children who are stunted in six regions in Indonesia, namely Sorong, Malino, Tanjung Redeb, Lampung, Central Java, and Medan. In this program, 15,000 eggs will be provided, which are essential in fulfilling children’s nutrition needs to prevent stunting.

The commitment to this activity was symbolized at the Soft Launching event on the Lestari platform conducted by KG Media with the theme “Sustainable Lifestyle” on Friday, July 28th, 2023, at Bentara Budaya Jakarta. The commitment of UT and KG Media was carried out symbolically through the submission of 15,000 eggs by Andi Budiman (CEO of KG Media) to Himawan Sutanto (SRCOM Department Head of UT), followed by the pinning of a jacket by Hasto Wardoyo (Head of BKKBN RI) to Himawan Sutanto.

Himawan Sutanto stated that UT will continuously strengthen its commitment to accelerating the reduction of stunting rates in Indonesia through collaboration with various parties to create a healthy and quality next generation.

“Accelerating the reduction of stunting is a national priority in realizing the quality and highly competitive Indonesian human resources. UT participates sustainably in efforts to improve the nutritional status of Indonesian families by fully supporting the #CukupDuaTelur campaign with KG Media and BKKBN to improve the quality of life for future generations,” said Himawan Sutanto.

Stunting is a problem that must be resolved immediately, as it will hinder the realization of Indonesia’s golden generation in 2045. Consuming foods containing animal protein, such as eggs, can help prevent stunting. This aligns with the #CukupDuaTelur campaign because eggs are chosen to be the most accessible source of animal protein to buy and obtain, and their price is quite affordable.

UT’s commitment through this collaboration is accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, especially point 3, namely Healthy and Prosperous Life. Additionally, it serves as a form of implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in each company’s business operations.

Through this collaboration, UT hopes to increase public awareness in Indonesia of the importance of stunting prevention, starting from the smallest scope, namely the family. Furthermore, it aims to accelerate sustainable development in Indonesia.
