Receiving awards by Corporate Communications Section Head KPP MINING, Bangkit Pratama on Best Use of Measurement for Internal Communications category.

London, November 5th 2025 – PT Kalimantan Prima Persana (KPP MINING), a member of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group and PT Astra International Tbk (Astra) Group, receives the international award “Best Use of Measurement for Internal Communications” at the AMEC Global Communications Effectiveness Awards 2025, held at Church House Westminster, London, United Kingdom. The award is presented by the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) in recognition of KPP MINING’s success in developing and measuring the effectiveness of its internal communications campaign titled #SayaBerbudayaSafety, which focuses on strengthening the safety culture across all of the company’s operational areas. The award is received by the Corporate Communications Section Head of KPP MINING, Bangkit Pratama.

“This award is a pride for us and also a proof that the communication function plays a vital role in supporting behavioral change in the working area. Through a measurable communication strategy, we ensure that safety messages are received, understood, and implemented by all employees. The role of communication is not only to deliver messages but also to build collective awareness and a sense of ownership toward safety values. This is the key to the success of #SayaBerbudayaSafety,” says Bangkit Pratama.

The #SayaBerbudayaSafety program launches in January 2024 and successfully improves the Safety Maturity Level Index from 69% (Reactive Level) to 78%, approaching the target of 79% (Planned Level). By implementing the AMEC Integrated Evaluation Framework, all communication stages from Output (materials and communication channels), Out-take (interaction and engagement), Outcome (behavioral change), to Impact (incident reduction and reputation enhancement) are systematically measured to ensure sustainable results. The campaign runs in a hybrid format (online and onsite) to reach more than 8,000 employees across 12 job sites throughout Indonesia.

Various initiatives carry out under this campaign, including the SAGA (Safety Keluarga) program, a safety education initiative for employees’ families that engages more than 2,800 participants over 18 months. Additionally, KPP MINING launches the #SayaBerbudayaSafety Card, which contains 10 safety guidelines as a symbol of employees’ personal commitment to the company’s safety culture. Other efforts include the Radio Safety Talk Show, which airs 18 episodes with over 6,700 listeners, and the distribution of 576 digital posters and 218 safety reminder posts on social media, generating a total of 117,475 likes, 3,640 comments, and 2,838 shares. KPP MINING also organizes the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month Competition and holds a technical safety seminar in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to further strengthen safety education in the workplace.

The Corporate Communication function at KPP MINING plays a strategic role in formulating communication strategies, managing messages, and ensuring all communication activities align with the company’s vision and values. Through close collaboration with the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) department, the communication team develops a storytelling-based approach and utilizes multi-platform channels to reach all levels of employees, from field operators to management. The use of the AMEC framework enables continuous monitoring of message effectiveness and real-time adjustment of strategies to stay relevant to field conditions.

KPP MINING remains committed to conducting safe, sustainable, and competitive operations. Through the implementation of a strong safety culture and effective communication across all levels, the company focuses on enhancing operational performance and efficiency. This initiative is part of KPP MINING’s ongoing effort to ensure every operational activity aligns with the company’s values and vision.
