PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), continues to implement a strong workplace safety culture. Because of this commitment, the Pama-1 coal-fired power plant (PLTU) under PLN UPT Palangka Raya successfully receives the Zero Accident Award from the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of Central Kalimantan Province. The award is presented by the Head of Supervision at the Central Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Office, Andi Jairin, to the Plant Manager of PLTU Pama-1, Bambang Agus Witoyo.
“This Zero Accident Award results from our team’s commitment, discipline, and synergy in making workplace safety a culture, not just a procedure. Despite all the complexity and high risks involved in power plant operations, we ensure that every worker understands, internalizes, and applies occupational health and safety (OHS) principles in every step of their work. Moving forward, we continue to strengthen our monitoring systems, enhance training programs, and raise awareness that safety is a shared responsibility,” Bambang states.
This award recognizes EPN’s success in consistently implementing the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program, without recording a single workplace accident over the past three years. This achievement proves that OHS is not only an administrative obligation but has become a top priority in every aspect of the company’s operations.
The award is stated through a decree issued by the Governor of Central Kalimantan on April 25th, 2025. It is presented as part of the 77th Labor Inspector Day commemoration and the 2025 Central Kalimantan Province OHS Awards ceremony.
EPN’s success in maintaining a zero accident record for the past three years marks a significant milestone. Besides ensuring safe operations, this achievement aligns with the company’s mission to support environmentally friendly and sustainable energy management while giving positive contributions to society and the regional economy.
Going forward, EPN remains committed to prioritizing occupational health and safety as a fundamental pillar in every business process while strengthening its reputation as a reliable and responsible power plant operator.
