UT cooperates with the City Government of Manado for the distribution of aid.

Manado, January 30th, 2023 – Through the CSR program UTACTION (United Tractors for Emergency Response and Action), PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) moved quickly to help victims affected by floods and landslides in Manado, North Sulawesi, last Sunday (30/01). The floods and landslides were caused by high rainfall in several areas of North Sulawesi, including Manado City. Many families impacted by it experienced shortages of clean water, food, and clothing.

UT’s Manado Branch provided this direct assistance by mobilizing volunteers to distribute it to disaster-affected communities. This initiative is part of the Company’s commitment to implementing social responsibility and enhancing the community’s welfare around the  Company’s operational areas.

“The activities carried out were a concrete manifestation of UT’s concern for all Indonesians, regardless of how close they are to the Company’s operational area. As part of the Company’s commitment, we continue to strive to strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) implementations in order to have a better impact on society,” said Demas Andwika Yeremia, Administration Department Head (ADH) UT Manado Branch.

Aid was distributed by UT Manado branch office in Sumompo Village, Tumininting District, and several other points in Manado City. Several aids were distributed: instant noodles, rice, toiletries, fast food, and mineral water. The aid was handed over directly by Demas Andwika Yeremia and Stevanus Ekobudi Prasetyo (SDH UT Manado Branch) to the Sumompo Village Head, Hence. E. Patimbano.
