Tanjung Enim, August 24, 2026 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Site Tanjung Enim continues to support vocational education development through mentorship programs aligned with industry needs. This effort is realized through a “Heavy Equipment Vocational School (SMK) Curriculum Synchronization” activity conducted with SMK Negeri 1 Merapi Timur, which serves as a platform to align school learning competencies with industry requirements, specifically in the fields of heavy equipment, workplace safety, and technological advancements.
Through this activity, UT Tanjung Enim, together with the partner school and educators, coordinates and discusses learning materials, skill competencies, and industry competency requirements. Discussions also cover the strengthening of content regarding heavy equipment technology, maintenance, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/K3) as crucial elements in preparing students for the workforce.
“Collaboration between the education sector and the industry must be continuously strengthened so that the learning process remains aligned with workforce needs. Through this curriculum synchronization, we hope the competencies developed at the school will not only equip students technically but also foster the discipline, safety culture, and work readiness required in the heavy equipment industry,” said UT Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Himawan Sutanto.
The “Heavy Equipment Vocational School Curriculum Synchronization” activity is part of the vocational education mentorship and development program conducted by UT. Through this initiative, the school and the industry can exchange information regarding technological developments, competency requirements, and learning materials that need reinforcement, including aspects of workplace safety and discipline as integral parts of the heavy equipment industry’s work culture.
