Jakarta, March 21th,2023 – Stunting is still a serious problem that can potentially threaten the future of Indonesian children. In order to respond to this challenge, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) collaborated with Tribun Network and BKKBN in a stunting prevention program. This program was initiated with a talk show of “Kick-off Semesta Mencegah Stunting,” which took place at the Tribune Network Studio Kompas TV, Jakarta, and was broadcasted live on the YouTube channel on Tuesday (21/03/2023).

“Accelerating the reduction of stunting is a national priority in realizing qualified and highly competitive Indonesian human resources. UT participates in a sustainable initiatives to improve the nutrition of Indonesian families by fully supporting the #CukupDuaTelur campaign with the Tribun Network to improve the quality of life for future generations,” said CSR Manager UT, Himawan Sutanto.

In line with the #CukupDuaTelur campaign, UT consistently strengthens the role of Posyandu as the frontline in health education and programs to reduce the prevalence of stunting by increasing the capacity of Posyandu Cadres to become Posyandu Supervisor Cadres who are more skilled, educative and inspiring. UT carries out this program as a form of support for the implementation of the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) to reduce the national stunting rate, which based on data from the 2021 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), is at a prevalence rate of 24.4%. It is targeted to decrease to 14 percent by 2024.

“Collaboration is very important to do in reducing stunting in Indonesia. All parties involved in this program have done a very noble job. We are mobilizing various professions such as the army, BKKBN, businessmen, religious leaders, and various parties in collaboration to reduce stunting rate,” Tribun Network CEO Dahlan Dahi.

Stunting is a problem that must be solved immediately because it will hinder the realization of Indonesia’s generation of golden age in 2045. Consuming foods containing animal protein, such as fish, eggs, and meat, can help prevent stunting. This aligns with the #CukupDuaTelur campaign because eggs were chosen to be the easiest and most affordable source of animal protein to buy and obtain. After all, the price is quite affordable. This campaign will be socialized in all regions of Indonesia, especially in areas where the stunting rate is still high.

UT is committed to delivering genuine societal benefits through implementing the Social Responsibility in Health program, namely UTCARE (United Tractors for Community Health Responsibility). This is a form of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) implementation in the Company is all line of business.

Through this program, UT hopes to increase public awareness in Indonesia of the importance of preventing stunting, which can be started from the smallest scope, namely the family. In addition, socializing stunting prevention can help increase the capacity of Posyandu cadres and the quality of Posyandu inspection services to improve the health status of mothers and children in Indonesia.

This event was attended by Hasto Wardoyo (Head of BKKBN), Brigadier General Yudianto Putrajaya (Waaster Kasad for Tahwil Komsos and Bakti TNI), Yudian Wahyudi (Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP)), Krisdayanti (Member of the Indonesian Parliament from the PDIP faction), Febby Mahendra Putra (Tribun Network Reporting Director), and Rionardi Wong (Rotary International).
