Amid the mining industry’s challenges, the commitment to sustainability is more than just a slogan for PT Tuah Turangga Resources Group (Turangga Resources), a PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) subsidiary. This commitment is affirmed through four prestigious awards earned by its subsidiaries, PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral (SMM), PT Telen Orbit Prima (TOP), and PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) at the Indonesia Social Responsibility Award (ISRA). This national platform recognizes excellence in social and environmental responsibility programs. The awards are presented on July 10, 2025, at The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center, Jakarta.

Bintang Adityawarman, the head of Social Gov Partnership and Watershed Rehabilitation (RehabDas) at Turangga Resources, emphasizes that the awards are not just symbols of achievement but also reflect the Company’s enduring commitment to environmental sustainability.

“We are fully aware that mining activities impact ecosystems. That’s why biodiversity conservation lies at the heart of our sustainability strategy. Through scientific approaches, collaboration with local communities, and the collective efforts of the RehabDas team, we believe that productivity and conservation can go hand in hand in creating a more sustainable environmental future,” Bintang Adityawarman states.

The four awards that the Turangga Resources Group receives at ISRA 2025 result from collective action, deep care, and collaboration across all company levels and local communities near operational areas. SMM demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental preservation by winning the Platinum Award in the Biodiversity Conservation category for its strategic initiative to protect peatland ecosystems through scientific methods and community engagement. SMM also receives the Bronze Award in Economic Empowerment for its floating cage aquaculture program, which strengthens the economic resilience of local communities.

Meanwhile, TOP shows its dedication to public health and quality of life by earning the Gold Award in Health Quality Improvement. Its clean water infrastructure development program makes a tangible impact, providing communities near its mining area with sustainable access to safe and clean water. ABB is also recognized with a Gold Award in Economic Empowerment for its integrated farming system development program, which empowers local farmers and opens new, more sustainable business opportunities.

These achievements serve as a reminder that sustainability is not a destination but a shared journey that requires ongoing commitment, collaboration, and compassion. Turangga Resources believes a better future can only be realized when economic growth and environmental sustainability work together.
