United Tractors and Kemendikdasmen Collaborate to Create Healthy Schools

Jakarta, June 2, 2025 – Amid current challenges, children’s health remains a crucial foundation for building Indonesia’s future. With this spirit, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) strengthens its commitment to creating a healthy and empowered generation through active participation in the UKS Final Championship Program organized by the Directorate General of Early Childhood Education, Primary, and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen).

This initiative is part of an effort to revitalize the School Health Program (UKS) at the elementary school level. UT acts as a strategic partner in its implementation alongside Kemendikdasmen, Artikular Clinic, Emtek Group, and the Faculty of Medicine of the Indonesia University of Education (UPI). The UKS Final Championship is not just a competition but a tangible example of cross-sector collaboration to instill clean and healthy living habits from an early age. Through the involvement of student health ambassadors known as Dokter Kecil (Little Doctors), selected students become change agents in their schools.

The UKS Championship is a national competition for elementary school students that promotes the implementation of the School Health Program in primary school environments. It serves as a platform to recognize schools across Indonesia that foster clean, healthy, and child-friendly environments through preventive, promotive, and educational approaches. The event’s timeline includes registration from June 1–14, Coaching Clinics on June 16 and July 5, district and provincial level selections from June 25–July 18, and a finalist quarantine period from August 5–15. UT’s support for this program builds upon its ongoing initiative of nurturing Dokter Kecil in 10 schools, which expands nationally. This also forms part of UT’s broader sustainable social contributions, which involve the development of more than 1,600 Partner Schools throughout Indonesia.

“Healthy lifestyles must be cultivated early, as that is where the nation’s future begins. We believe that children who grow up in healthy school environments become strong, intelligent, and character-driven individuals,” says Himawan Sutanto, UT’s CSR Manager, during his speech at the event.

In addition to mobilizing the educational community, the event also brings an inspirational touch with the appointment of young public figure Dul Jaelani as the National UKS Ambassador. He hopes to serve as a role model and advocate for healthy living among Indonesian children.
