Yogyakarta, June 15, 2026 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) strengthen their strategic partnership through an industry seminar and the signing of a cooperation agreement at the Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas (GIK) UGM in Yogyakarta. The event reflects the need for closer collaboration between academia and industry in an increasingly dynamic industrial landscape.

Ari Sutrisno, Director of Human Capital, Communications & Sustainability of UT, emphasizes that national progress requires strong collaboration among stakeholders, including universities and the industrial sector.

“We believe that collaboration between academia and industry is key to developing talents who are capable and relevant to future needs. Through this partnership, UT aims to contribute to more practical learning opportunities, foster innovation, and open wider opportunities for Indonesia’s younger generation to grow and make a positive impact on the nation,” says Ari.

The collaboration is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UT and UGM, represented by Ari Sutrisno and Prof. Suherman, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Secretary of UGM’s Directorate of Partnerships and Global Relations. On the same occasion, UT and the UGM Vocational College also renew their Cooperation Agreement (PKS), reaffirming their long-standing partnership and commitment to stronger outcomes.

The event attracts more than 170 participants, including representatives from UT, the UGM Rectorate, the UGM Vocational College, the UGM Faculty of Engineering, and students from various academic programs.

As part of the event series, an industry seminar takes place to provide students with direct insights into the professional world and current industry developments. Speakers from UT share information on the company profile, strategies for preparing for professional careers, recruitment and career development opportunities, and the competencies needed to navigate future industry challenges and transformations, helping students better prepare for the future.

During the event, UT also provides research funding support to the UGM Vocational College and donates a co-working space facility to the UGM Faculty of Engineering, strengthening resources for learning and innovation.

“We hope this support serves as a platform for the growth of ideas, applied research, and innovations that not only enrich the educational sector but also contribute meaningfully to industry development and society,” says Idot Supriadi, Director of UT, underscoring its broader impact.

This collaboration reflects UT’s ongoing commitment to bridging academia and industry. Through sustainable partnerships, UT aims to support young talent, encourage innovation, and create a positive, lasting impact for Indonesia’s future.
