United Tractors and Universitas Gadjah Mada Host the 2025 Mechanical Fair

Yogyakarta, May 16, 2025 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) teams up with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Vocational School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) to host the national heavy equipment competition, The 2025 Mechanical Fair. This event aims to improve the technical skills and job readiness of vocational high school (SMK) students in operating and maintaining heavy equipment according to industry standards.

With the theme “Engineering the Future: Innovating Sustainable Development for a Better Tomorrow,” the competition illustrates the collaboration between education and industry, focused on cultivating exceptional, innovative, and adaptable talent in heavy equipment technology. A total of forty-seven teams from various regions in Indonesia participated in the preliminary round, with the leading teams moving on to the finals. The final stage included three main test areas: Diesel Engine, Electrical System, and Pre-Delivery Inspection. Additionally, participants took part in campus tours, workshops, seminars, and an awards ceremony. This collaboration aims to enhance the competencies of the younger generation while supporting the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the fields of industry and innovation.
