In the spirit of building an inclusive and empowered society, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) and the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) jointly hold an Educational Program on Reproductive Health for Individuals with Visual Disabilities. The program includes the handover of inclusive learning aids, specifically designed to support hands-on learning through tactile models and braille-based reading, which encompasses anatomical phantoms and braille text materials. This activity takes place on (31/10/2025) at Sentra Wyata Guna, Bandung. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure equal access to health education for all community members.
For many people, understanding one’s body and health seems simple. However, individuals with visual disabilities often find access to basic knowledge about their own bodies limited. Through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program in the field of health (UTCARE), UT seeks to provide an inclusive learning experience where participants can independently understand and recognize their own bodies with confidence.
“We believe that every individual, without exception, has the right to access proper health education. Through this program, we aim to ensure that individuals with disabilities can gain an appropriate understanding of their bodies and their health. Inclusion is not just a concept; it is a shared responsibility to be realized,” says UT CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto.
The educational sessions are designed to be inclusive and interactive, utilizing learning methods that accommodate the diverse needs of participants, ranging from verbal material delivery to the use of tactile learning media and braille literacy. Every detail is carefully developed to enable participants to understand reproductive health concepts in a manner that best suits their learning abilities.
For UT, this activity represents more than just a form of social contribution; it embodies humanitarian values. Through empathetic and participatory approaches, this program encourages participants to become more aware, confident, and independent in maintaining their personal health.
The synergy between UT and BKKBN serves as a real example of how collaboration between the private sector, government, and social institutions creates a meaningful impact within the community. More than just providing education, this initiative opens pathways for individuals with visual disabilities to gain equal rights in understanding their own bodies and health. For UT, every small step taken with sincerity leads to greater change toward a healthier, more inclusive, and empowered society.
