Jakarta, October 16, 2026 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) continues to strengthen the capabilities of communities surrounding its operational areas through empowerment programs aligned with industry workforce needs. One such initiative is the Basic Operation Course (BOC) Forklift, a basic forklift operation training program involving 20 residents living near UT’s Head Office in Cakung, East Jakarta.

In collaboration with UT School, the program takes place from September 7 to October 16, 2026, at United Tractors Corporate University in Cakung, East Jakarta. The training aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in forklift operation, covering workplace safety, daily maintenance, operational procedures, and competency assessments. Participants also undergo assessments to obtain an Operator License (Surat Izin Operator/SIO), subject to applicable regulations and their assessment results.

The BOC Forklift program uses a structured approach that combines theory with hands-on practice under the guidance of experienced instructors. Participants begin with forklift fundamentals, workplace safety, and safe operating procedures before moving on to daily maintenance and practical forklift operation. From October 12 to 14, 2026, participants undergo theoretical and practical assessments to evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the training.

UT Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Himawan Sutanto, emphasizes that the BOC Forklift program reflects UT’s commitment to strengthening the competencies of communities surrounding its operational areas.

“Through BOC Forklift, we aim to provide local communities with opportunities to develop skills relevant to industry needs while strengthening their awareness of workplace safety. We hope the competencies gained through this training will enhance participants’ job readiness and expand their employment opportunities,” said Himawan.

The program also receives support from the local government. Cakung Subdistrict Head, H. Rohmad, S.AP., M.Si., expresses his appreciation for UT’s contribution to providing skills development opportunities for the Cakung community. He highlights the importance of collaboration between companies and the government in delivering broader benefits to local communities, particularly through initiatives that promote competency development and self-reliance.

“We appreciate and thank UT for providing the people of Cakung with the opportunity to participate in this training. We hope initiatives like this will continue to benefit the community while strengthening collaboration between companies and the government in supporting community empowerment,” said Rohmad.

The BOC Forklift program concludes on October 16, 2026, attended by representatives from UT, UT School, Cakung Subdistrict, Cakung Barat Urban Village, and Rawaterate Urban Village. Based on the training evaluation results, all 20 participants successfully complete the program, achieving a 100% completion rate. This achievement demonstrates the training’s positive impact on strengthening participants’ technical knowledge and practical skills.

Moving forward, UT remains committed to expanding community access to technical skills development aligned with industry needs. Through continued collaboration with UT School and the local government, UT aims to strengthen relationships with surrounding communities while contributing to human resource development and sustainable community empowerment in its operational areas.
