The commitment of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group to environmental management and climate change mitigation is recognized once again at the Astra Environment Summit 2025, held at Menara Astra, Jakarta, on December 16, 2025. UT Group receives the Special Recognition Award for the Biodiversity Management Program, while UT obtains the Special Recognition Award for Nature-Based Solutions for Carbon Offset. These recognitions reflect the UT Group’s consistent implementation of sustainability initiatives that deliver measurable benefits for the environment and society.
The Biodiversity Management Program award is presented in recognition of the biodiversity assessment and inventory activities conducted across UT Group’s operational areas throughout 2025, in alignment with the AHEMCE Biodiversity Guideline. The program is implemented through the Biodiversity Working Group, involving PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA), PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), PT Tuah Turangga Agung (Turangga Resources), PT Sumbawa Juta Raya (SJR), and PT Stargate Pacific Resources (SPR). The initiative aims to ensure that environmental impacts resulting from the UT Group’s business operations are managed responsibly, while supporting the long-term sustainability of the UT Group’s operations.
Meanwhile, UT receives the Nature-Based Solutions for Carbon Offset award for implementing its Forest Protection and Slope Revegetation Program at Mount Arjuno in Batu City and Malang Regency, East Java, which is ongoing since 2023. The program contributes to the prevention of deforestation, protection of carbon stock, and post-disaster ecosystem restoration, with an estimated emission reduction potential of approximately 69,000 tons of CO₂e by 2042. This initiative supports Indonesia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets as well as the sustainability commitments of the Astra Group. Going forward, the Group continues to enhance its biodiversity management and emission reduction programs as part of an integrated and sustainable corporate sustainability strategy.
