A series of OHS Month program activities carried out at UT HO, Jakarta.

Jakarta, 2 April,2024 – As a manifestation of participation in commemorating the  National Occupational Health Safety (OHS) Month, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) organized the UT Group OHS Month (Astra Heavy Equipment Mining Construction & Energy) in 2024. The theme adopted for this program is “Strengthening a K3-Cultured Business Ecosystem to Achieve Operational Excellence and Support Sustainability in Every Business Line.”

UT 2024 OHS Month will be held from January 16 to March 8, 2024, and attended by UT Head Office employees, branches, sites, and subsidiaries. The activities were conducted online and offline at the UT Head Office in Jakarta. This program aims to support the government’s work program to create a safety-conscious workplace culture while measuring and evaluating employees’ skills through competitions related to OHS aspects.

“UT will continue to commit to strengthening the OHS culture in every business line. The National OHS Month in 2024 is an important moment for UT Group to increase awareness and compliance with the OHS culture to achieve sustainable operational excellence. Through this program, we want to ensure that occupational safety and health are needed and a culture is instilled in every individual at UT. We hope this OHS Month can contribute to creating a safer and healthier work environment,” said Erika Pratiwi, Head of the Environment, Health, and Safety Department.

On the other hand, the 2024 UT Group OHS Month is UT’s effort to respond to rapid technological developments. For the Company, the implementation of the OHS culture has been aligned with the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation aspect to ensure that all UT stakeholders are collectively able to address the challenges and potential dangers and risks arising from technological advancements in the workplace, emphasizing sustainability aspects.

The programs organized during the 2024 OHS Month include enhancing employees’ OHS competencies, creating a safe and healthy work environment, and education through Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) campaigns and EHS webinars.

By organizing the 2024 UT Group OHS Month, UT hopes to make the OHS work culture a top priority, not only as an obligation but also as an investment for the Company’s sustainable future. Through collective efforts in maintaining safety and health in the workplace, UT believes it can continue to deliver positive contributions to employee welfare and operational sustainability.
