This belief manifests through UT’s participation in the Emergency Disaster Reduction & Rescue (EDRR) Expo 2025, held from August 13–15, 2025, at Hall A2, JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. The event, organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and officially opened by the Coordinating Minister, Prof. Dr. Pratikno, brings together experts, practitioners, industries, and government representatives to exchange knowledge, technology, and disaster mitigation solutions.
Through its disaster response program (UTACTION) with the theme “Joint Action to Build a Disaster-Resilient Society,” UT showcases a series of field-tested initiatives. These include Kampung Tangguh Bencana (KATANA), which strengthens preparedness at the community level, and Sekolah Binaan United Tractors Tangguh Bencana (SOBAT TANGGUH), which instills disaster awareness from an early age. UT highlights the successful implementation of the Nationwide Disaster Preparedness Drill, which sets a MURI record by involving 6,620 schools and 1,428,294 participants across Indonesia, as well as the Festival Pendidikan Kesiapsiagaan Bencana (FESDIKGANA), a creative and engaging disaster education festival.
At EDRR 2025, UT introduces a unique breakthrough: the first disaster preparedness board game in Indonesia designed to be disability-friendly, equipped with braille so it can also be played by the visually impaired. This innovation proves that preparedness education must be inclusive and accessible to all. UT’s participation alongside Astra and PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) at EDRR 2025 further strengthens cross-sector synergy in delivering disaster management, rescue solutions, and technologies. This presence reflects UT’s strong commitment to building a more prepared, resilient, and adaptive society facing disaster threats.
