United Tractors Promotes Health Education to Elementary Students in Wini, East Nusa Tenggara

Wini, February 27th, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) organized a health education activity for 40 Catholic elementary school students in Wini, North Central Timor Regency (TTU), East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the health pillar, namely United Tractors for Community Health Responsibility (UTCARE), UT initiated this program to strengthen the understanding and awareness of children in the 3T (Left Behind, Frontier, and Outermost) regions regarding the importance of maintaining health.

Himawan Sutanto, CSR Manager of UT, stated that UT will consistently strive to conduct education related to health, especially in 3T areas, to contribute to realizing a healthy Indonesia. “UT understands the importance of quality health for every child in Indonesia. With this program, UT hopes to positively contribute to the community in Wini, NTT. Educating children from an early age about the importance of maintaining health will help them become a generation that cares and is responsible for their health and the surrounding community,” said Himawan.

The education materials covered clean and healthy living habits (PHBS), balanced nutrition, and diseases caused by bacteria. The activity occurred at the Community Center and UT Primary Clinic on the border between East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Timor-Leste.

In addition to providing health education to students, UT conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with local senior citizens discussing health-related issues. Simultaneously, UT monitored the clinic built in 2022 and managed by UT Primary Clinic to ensure that it continues to provide quality health services to the community.

This UT Primary Clinic plays a crucial role in improving access to health for the community by offering services such as health examinations and providing medications for free. Through this initiative, UT aims to consistently deliver positive impacts to the community, contributing to the realization of a healthy environment and prosperous society.
