United Tractors Supports Indonesia’s Delegation to the WorldSkills Competition 2026

 

Jakarta, February 19, 2026 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reaffirms its commitment to advancing vocational education in Indonesia by supporting the Indonesian delegation for the WorldSkills Competition (WSC) 2026. This commitment is marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Directorate of Vocational High Schools (SMK) under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

The signing ceremony, held on-site at Hotel Redtop in Jakarta, reflects the synergy between UT and the government in preparing Indonesia’s best vocational talent to compete at the global level. 

“Participation in the WorldSkills Competition is part of our efforts to measure the progress of vocational development initiatives that we carry out and to understand our standing at the international level. Through this, we can identify and close existing competency gaps so that our vocational education standards continue to align with global benchmarks,” says the Director of Vocational High Schools, Dr. Arie Wibowo Khurniawan, S.Si., M.Ak.

The WSC 2026, which takes place in September 2026 in Shanghai, is a biennial international skills competition that brings together the best vocational talents from countries around the world. This year marks the second time UT sends an Indonesian delegation to participate in the prestigious competition in the Heavy Equipment Technology category.

As part of the competition preparation, UT organizes an intensive training program before departure. The program is designed to strengthen participants’ technical competencies, enhance their competitive mindset, and ensure their capabilities meet international standards. 

Through this strategic collaboration, UT hopes to continue advancing Indonesia’s national vocational education while opening broader opportunities for Indonesian youth to pursue careers and achieve excellence on the international stage.
