PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) continues to support the development of young Indonesian talent in heavy equipment technology through its participation in the 2026 WorldSkills Competition (WSC) in Shanghai, China. Held from September 22 to 27, 2026, this international skills competition provides an opportunity for UT to facilitate Indonesia’s participation in the Heavy Equipment category.

This marks UT’s second participation in the Heavy Equipment category at the WSC, following its previous involvement in Lyon, France. At WSC 2026, UT supports Tegar Eka, an Astra Tech student and first-place winner of the 2023 National Student Skills Competition (Lomba Kompetensi Siswa/LKS), who represents Indonesia in the competition. Tegar is accompanied by Yohanes Acep, an expert from UTSCHOOL, throughout the competition in Shanghai.

UT’s Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability Division, Dianwahyu Sri Purnomo, emphasizes that participation in the WSC reflects UT’s commitment to providing young Indonesian talent with opportunities to strengthen their competencies and gain valuable experience on the global stage.

“For us, competitions such as the WorldSkills Competition are not merely about winning. They are also about providing young Indonesian talent with opportunities to learn, hone their skills, and demonstrate their ability to compete at the global level. We hope the experience Tegar has gained will serve as a valuable foundation for his continued growth and future contributions to the advancement of Indonesia’s industry,” says Dianwahyu.

Prior to the competition, UT’s delegation receives a send-off from UT Directors Ari Sutrisno and Idot Supriadi. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s contingent participating in WSC 2026 receives an official send-off from Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti. These ceremonies demonstrate strong support and encouragement for the young talents representing Indonesia on the global stage.

UT’s participation in WSC 2026 forms part of the Company’s ongoing commitment to advancing education and human resource development, particularly in heavy equipment technology.
