Jakarta, October 9th 2022 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), through the Health Sector CSR program (UTCARE), collaborated with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) and the Love Pink Community under the auspices of the Daya Dara Indonesia Foundation, in the Pink Walk activity at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK). The activity carried out the theme of Indonesia Goes Pink 2022, in the form of leisure walks with breast cancer fighters and survivors, to increase awareness of the importance of breast health and to support the reduction of breast cancer prevalence in Indonesia.

“This event was held as an effort to reduce the number of breast cancer sufferers by providing education and free checkup for underprivileged women groups. Beside that, the Ministry of Health has made efforts to complete mammography equipment in all hospitals in Indonesia until 2024.” said the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin. 

In addition to the Pink Walk, other activities in this collaboration include breast health screening for UT-assisted posyandu cadres, educational webinars related to breast cancer, campaigns on social media, and line dance competitions aimed to popularize the SADARI (Breast Self Check) movement among the general public. large. In addition to being attended by the Minister of Health, this event was also attended by UT-assisted Posyandu cadres and the wider community.

“We understand the importance of protecting the future by avoiding breast cancer for women. Therefore, this collaboration is the company’s efforts in CSR in the health sector (UTCARE) to create a better future for Indonesian women.” said UT CSR Manager Himawan Sutanto.

​​UT hopes that through this collaboration, many women will become more aware of the risks of breast cancer, and take the necessary preventive measures to reduce the number of deaths caused by cancer. UT’s support to increase women’s awareness of the risks of breast cancer is a manifestation of the company’s efforts to create prosperity and sustainability for Indonesian people, throughout its operational areas through the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) principles.
