Jakarta, February 6th,2023 – Through the CSR program in the field of education UTFUTURE (United Tractors for Education and Bright Future), UT Group provided support for the launch of the new study program Bachelor of Applied science program in Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineering Technology at Astra Polytechnic on (06/02). The support provided by the UT Group is in the form of supporting facilities in heavy equipment, such as one unit of Komatsu D85ESS-2, Komatsu HD465-7, Forklift Komatsu FD25C-17, and Scania P380. In addition, another assistance provided is a safety centre to provide education about OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) to students.

As companies involved in the heavy equipment sector, the UT Group contributes by holding discussions with Astra Polytechnic to prepare the educational curriculum. This is a form of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) implementation and strives to create a link and match between the world of education and industry, which is expected to produce graduates who deliver maximum contribution in heavy equipment fields, mining, and construction.

The heavy equipment sector has long been a focus of development by Astra Polytechnic, part of the automotive engine associate degree study program. The Program collaborates with UT School in its operations to run heavy equipment specific classes. To answer the challenges of the industrial world, Astra Polytechnic launched a Bachelor of Applied science program to meet the needs of reliable field HR (Human Resources) with suitable technical competence to achieve that operational excellence.
