Bandung, January 27th,2023 – At the 2022 Indonesia Mining Award, three subsidiaries of UT Group were awarded the gold awards; PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) and PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP). The three UT Group companies were considered those with positive performance in the heavy equipment and mining service business. This award was organized by the Indonesian Mining Services Association (Aspindo/IMSA) and held at the Pullman Bali Legian Beach Hotel, last Friday (27/01).

President Director of TAMBANG Magazine, Atep Abdurofiq said in his speech that the awards is the first and only appreciation event specifically acknowledging the mining services business sector and other supporting services in the industry.

“The mining industry in general, is one of the highest contributors to the state’s treasury, thus potentially opening even more job vacancies throughout the country. This award is a form of appreciation to companies in the mining industry that have carried out business activities, while complying to existing regulations,” said Atep Abdurofiq.

A team of judges consisting of mining service users, experts and assessors from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia (ESDM) assessed a number of companies by going through a rigorous assessment process, prior to announcing three companies for the bronze, silver, and gold awards. Throughout 2022, UT Group is considered as companies that has met the laws and regulation aspects related to the fulfillment of the mining safety management system. In addition, another assessment that was considered by the jury team was the Company’s role in quick response and provisioning of aid for disasters in Indonesia.

As companies that has sustainable goals for the future, this award motivates UT Group to  continue to strengthen Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) implementation in each of its business operations. Hence, UT Group is committed to carry out business practices by creating long-term values such as focusing on environmental aspects and the sustainability of people’s lives in Indonesia.

This award will further encourages UT Group to consistently maintain performance and comply with good and correct mining principles, as well as make various efforts for the welfare of society in Indonesia,” said UT Director, Iman Nurwahyu.

The awarding event was not only form of appreciation for companies, but it also serves as an annual meeting of mining companies with “Looking at the Future of the Mining Industry and Prospects for Service Businesses” as this year’s annual meeting’s theme. Furthermore, this opportunity is also an event for gathering and training for all mining companies in Indonesia.

UT Group hopes that the award would be able to motivate team members to further increase their enthusiasm to continuously innovate and provide the best services, and improve the performance of the heavy equipment and mining service business which in turn can provide credibility to  customers and stakeholders.
