Jakarta, November 6th,2023 – PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) and PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) were awarded the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) 2023 awards by the National Center Sustainability Report (NCSR). These awards were presented to PTAR and UT for their successful Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation aspects for a better sustainable future by creating long-term value through various initiatives.

PTAR and UT are committed to environmental responsibility, reducing carbon emissions, and providing positive impacts on all stakeholders through employee engagement, community empowerment, customer satisfaction, and public relations. Furthermore, PTAR and UT continue to improve governance measures related to structure and oversight, codes and values, transparency, and sustainability reporting.

In this award ceremony, PTAR achieved a Gold Rank, and UT received a Silver Rank based on categories that adhere to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The awards were presented directly to Teresia Prahesti (Communications and Outreach Strategy Superintendent of PTAR) and Himawan Sutanto (Corporate Communications Manager of UT) at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, by a representative of NCSR.

Himawan Sutanto, Corporate Communications Manager of UT, emphasized that these awards are a testament to PTAR and UT’s commitment to sustainability. “These awards reflect our company’s dedication to sustainability reporting, which will serve as a foundation for us to remain consistent in implementing sustainability in every aspect of our business. Through stronger synergy, we will responsibly carry out various operational activities sustainably,” said Himawan Sutanto.

In addition to the ESG implementation, PTAR and UT will continuously prioritize business diversification and the application of a circular economy as part of their sustainable practices to build a better future for Indonesia and have a positive impact on society and the community.

On the other hand, Chairman and Executive Director of NCCR, Dr. Ali Darwin, expressed his appreciation for the participants of ASRRAT 2023. “The dedication of companies and organizations to transparency and accountability, as well as their initiatives to measure and mitigate environmental and social impact risks, is truly inspiring. Sustainability reporting has provided valuable insights into the progress in reducing emissions, conserving resources, and advancing social justice. It also serves as a roadmap for other businesses and organizations to follow,” Dr. Ali Darwin stated.

The evaluation for the 2023 ASRRAT awards is based on the level of sustainability reporting compliance with GRI standards and requirements. Additionally, three main aspects are the focus of the evaluation process: the triple bottom line (economic, social, and environmental). The assessment process involves a panel of five judges and a team of 18 certified CSRS assessors across Indonesia, ensuring transparency and accountability in evaluating sustainability practices.

The 2023 ASRRAT is an Asia-level sustainability reporting ranking awarded to companies that effectively communicate their sustainability performance to stakeholders through sustainability reports. The ASRRAT awards have been running for 19 years, and this year’s theme is “Navigating the path to Net Zero: Accelerating Climate Action in Asia,” which is believed to be highly relevant to companies’ efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In its implementation, the 2023 ASRRAT awards were participated in by 68 companies from various countries, including Indonesia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Australia, and Russia.
