Jakarta, April 5, 2024 – To celebrate Eid al-Fitr of 1445 H, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group organized a collective homecoming journey for employees and their families in 2024. This joint homecoming initiative is UT Group’s commitment to helping employees and their families celebrate this precious moment safely and comfortably. This year’s homecoming journey theme is “Happy Homecoming Together with Scania.” The departure ceremonies were held at three locations on different dates: UT Head Office, Cakung, and PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE) on April 5, 2024, and PT PAMA Persada (PAMA) Head Office on April 4, 2024.

The joint homecoming program was attended by 1,709 participants, including employees and their families, UT School students, and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) internship students. Transportation consisted of 29 bus units headed to South Sumatra, Bandar Lampung, Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta Special Region. Additionally, PAMA used two sets of Jayabaya and Jayakarta trains for their homecoming journey. UT Group’s Directors officiated the departure ceremonies, attended by the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Afriansyah Noor, ST., M.Si., IPU.

“As a ministry representing the government, I extend my appreciation to UT Group for prioritizing the welfare of employees by organizing this joint homecoming program. May the journey proceed smoothly, safely, and soundly,” said Deputy Minister of Manpower, Ir. Afriansyah Noor, ST., M.Si., IPU.

In addition, this event aligns with the government’s recommendation to organize collective homecoming journeys to enhance safety and reduce traffic density during the homecoming season. Based on data from the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) showing high accident rates involving motorcyclists during homecoming trips. This program also aims to reduce the use of private vehicles and carbon emissions from the transportation sector.

“This joint homecoming is a moment to strengthen family ties in hometowns. On behalf of the board of directors and management, I extend my congratulations on celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriyah. Safe travels and regards to families in hometowns, and please ensure safety and security during the homecoming journey until returning to Jakarta,” said UT Director Edhie Sarwono.
