Consistently Implementing Disaster Mitigation Programs, United Tractors Wins Four The 2024 CSR Excellence Awards

Bogor, March 21, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has won four categories of the 2024 CSR Excellence Award 2024. These awards were given to UT for its consistent and sustainable implementation of various disaster mitigation programs. The award categories include The Best CSR in Disaster Management, The Best CSR in Mitigating Disaster, The Best Workplace Environment, and The Best Leadership Commitment on CSR, which was presented to the President Director of UT, Frans Kesuma. First Indonesia Magazine presented the award directly to UT at Hotel Salak The Heritage, Bogor.

The assessment indicators for these awards are based on objective and independent jury interviews conducted by the Jury Council consisting of Consultant PPM – Founder FHCI, Ir. Ahmad Purwono, MBA; Disaster Practitioner, Vice Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Social & Disaster Management of Kadin Pusat, Antonius Agus Haryanta, SE; Senior Policy Analyst of KLHK, Ir. Djati Witjaksono Hadi, M.Si. UTACTION has implemented several programs under the disaster pillar, or United Tractors for Emergency Response and Action (UTACTION), including disaster risk management, disaster emergency management, and disaster recovery management.

“We express our heartfelt thanks for the awards given and to all parties who have supported this program. We will continue to commit ourselves to being agents of positive change in society, especially in disaster mitigation,” said Himawan Sutanto.

The theme of the awards is “The role of CSR in mitigating the risk of disaster threats by transforming the economy through green development supporting a sustainable MSME sector and encouraging increased national investment.” This means that CSR programs in disaster mitigation play a significant role in transforming the economy through green development, supporting sustainable MSME sectors, and promoting increased national investment.

Under disaster risk management, there are two programs: Kampung Tangguh Bencana (KATANA), which is UT’s effort to provide education to communities regarding disaster preparedness with risk reduction, improvement of environmental quality and public health, and community involvement in forming Disaster Preparedness Teams. The second program, SOBAT Tangguh UTACTION, is UT’s effort to strengthen disaster preparedness capacity in educational institutions through strengthening, coaching, and mentoring.

Furthermore, the award in the category of The Best Leadership Commitment on CSR is given to Business Leaders in the Company who are deemed to have a high commitment to supporting the completeness of systems, governance, and the successful implementation of CSR in the Company.

Through these awards, it is hoped that resilient communities can be created to minimize disasters in each area sustainably.
