As a company that is committed to supporting the development of Indonesian children, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), along with SMK Negeri 1 Adiwerna celebrated National Children’s Day 2023 at Simpang Lima Kota Semarang on July 23rd, 2023. This event is one of UT’s efforts to support the commitment of Semarang City Government to creating a child-friendly and suitable city, encompassing aspects such as health, education, and other activities that can support children’s lives. Additionally, it represents UT’s endeavour to implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

The 2023 National Children’s Day (HAN) theme is “Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia.” In this regard, UT also contributed by setting up a booth to provide education related to disaster prevention. The knowledge shared included information about flood disaster detection tools created by SMK Negeri 1 Adiwerna and educational disaster-related games. Furthermore, UT also raised awareness about a virtual museum, offering information about history from the past and the Company’s development towards the future, aiming to inspire visitors.

CSR Manager UT, Himawan Sutanto, stated UT will continue to work on creating sustainability in supporting the improvement of children’s education quality in Indonesia through collaboration with various parties. “UT is honored to be able to participate in the celebration of National Education Day 2023. Through this event, UT hopes to provide valuable experiences that will inspire the learning spirit and creativity of Indonesian children,” said Himawan Sutanto.

Celebrating National Education Day 2023 is also an opportunity for UT to introduce corporate programs that focus on children’s education and development and invite the community to support the nation’s future generations’ growth collectively. Two thousand five hundred children from over Indonesia are present to liven up this event.

The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin, emphasized the importance of educational access for Indonesian children, especially in the 3T areas: the most disadvantaged, advanced, and remote regions (terginggal, terdepan, dan terluar). “This event is a moment for all of us to collectively enhance the education of Indonesian children. I appreciate the local governments, provinces, and cities that have treated children well,” said Ma’ruf Amin.

The National Education Day 2023 celebration in Semarang City is also filled with various performances by Indonesian children. Additionally, multiple booths are showcasing the works of Indonesian children. UT’s participation in this event is expected to deliver a positive contribution to encouraging the spirit of Indonesian children to achieve their best potential.
