Jakarta, November 21, 2023 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) continues to build sustainability in Indonesia through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the areas of environment, education, health, disaster relief, and the economy. Due to its consistency, UT won the Indonesia Best Corporate Sustainability Award 2023 at the MIX MarComm magazine event. This demonstrates the Company’s commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance principles and supporting sustainability issues.

UT received four awards at this event in the Corporate Social Marketing and Corporate Sustainability Warrior Team categories. The programs that UT excelled in for these awards include the UTACTION Earthquake Relief Program in Cianjur under the Employee Volunteering category, the SOBAT (United Tractors Sponsored School) program in the education sector under Creating Shared Value, the TUNTAS (Transforming Undernutrition to Thriving and Sustainable) initiative in health, and the Warrior Team award given to the Corporate Governance and Sustainability division of UT.

UT’s CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto, stated that UT will continue to consistently implement CSR programs to improve the lives of communities and the environment around the Company’s operational areas, aiming to promote a better society.

“The achievements of UT further motivate us to contribute more broadly to Indonesia through the five pillars that UT embraces: education, health, economy, environment, and disaster relief. This is a strategic effort in pursuing sustainable business. CSR programs will be implemented seriously, focusing on medium and long-term programs. We are committed to solving societal issues through this initiative,” said CSR Manager UT, Himawan Sutanto.

The assessment indicators for the sustainability program category are based on three aspects: program concept, program execution, and impact on beneficiaries. Additionally, for the corporate sustainability warrior category, the evaluation is based on several elements, including the Company’s long-term vision and CSR roadmap, the corporate image in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the role of top leadership in program planning, and organizational support for program execution.

The jury panel for this evaluation includes the Founder of IMMBAA (International of Master in Management & Business Alumni Association) & APAKP (Alliance of Practitioners & Academics for Corporate Sustainability), Dr. Gancar C Premananto, CMA., CDM., QCRO., AIBIZ; Communications Director of Rajawali Foundation and Deputy Secretary-General of Perhumas, Fardila Rachmilliza, IAPR, CIQnR, CIQaR; Founder & President Director of Remark Asia, Ir. Dwi Rahmad Muhtaman, MPA; Senior Editor at SWA Media Group, Dr. A. Edhy Aruman; and the Chief Editor of MIX Magazine, Ir. Lis Hendriani, MM.
