Jakarta, July 9th,2023 – To improve water rescue capabilities during emergencies, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group held a compound exercises water assist at Danau Sunter, North Jakarta. This exercise was attended by representatives of  UT Group’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) to increase operational effectiveness and strengthen cooperation with related parties in dealing with disasters in water areas.

Handling emergency problems is very important, especially ERT from the UT Group must be competent in assisting. On the other hand, this compound exercise is a form of UT Group’s efforts to be alert to emergency conditions and a form of implementation of the Astra Security Management System (ASMS) TOP 6 Security Networking dan TOP 7 Security Protection.

This compound exercise is a form of UT Group’s commitment to continue delivering positive contributions to the community by assisting victims who experience water accidents in rivers and seas. In addition, this activity is also a form of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation aspects in the Company’s operational areas.

“This training activity was carried out by the UT Group ERT Team to share knowledge and skills of ERT members. Through this training, UT Group will always consistently contribute to society by providing assistance when a disaster occurs quickly and accurately,” said Head of Corporate Governance and Sustainability Sara K. Loebis.

The material presented in this activity consisted of two categories. First, the primary material held online discussed emergency communications, essential water assistance, equipment, water hazards, and the attitude of the rescue team. Then, the second material is carried out offline by directly practicing water rescue equipment such as rubber boats and outboard motor engines and water rescue techniques by transferring victims via boat.

This series of activities was carried out offline through two sessions, namely on 26/06/2023 and 09/07/2023 which began with a sharing session by the Astra rescue team to the UT Group rescue team regarding boat operation, using oars and outboard motors, as well as explanations regarding rescue victims in the water using the reach, throw, row, go and carry (RTRGT) technique. After that, it was followed by a warm-up, group division by three coaches, and hands-on practice according to the coach’s directions for each group.

The UT Group who participated in this activity consisted of 50 representatives from PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA), PT Traktor Nusantara, PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE), PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST), PT Bina Pertiwi, and PT Mitra Bakti United. Tractors. Through this activity, the UT Group will make maximum efforts to provide benefits for the community’s safety in a sustainable manner.
