Jakarta, June 18th, 2023 – In commemoration of the 496th anniversary of DKI Jakarta, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) collaborated with the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at the Jakarta Tangguh Exhibition. During this event, UT became the only private company that made a positive contribution to enhancing disaster preparedness education for the community.

The exhibition took place at Watergate 1 BKT Malaka Sari, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. UT organized this program as part of its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation within its operational areas.

The background for this program stemmed from the numerous disasters in Indonesia. According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), there were 1,675 disasters reported in 2023 alone. This situation has motivated the company to focus on increasing awareness and knowledge among communities in terms of disaster preparedness, prevention, and emergency response.

Through its CSR program, United Tractors for Emergency Response and Action (UTACTION), UT provided education to 500 visitors by setting up booths featuring various displays. These included the UTACTION showcase program, disaster literacy information, mini excavators, Emergency Response Team (ERT) uniforms, as well as video and photo exhibitions related to the UTACTION program.

The series of events also included disaster board games, which provided visitors with both fun and educational experiences about disaster preparedness. BPBD, along with the National Search and Rescue Agency and PMI, actively participated in the event by conducting simulations that demonstrated how to handle victims of fires, drownings, and rescuing individuals from high altitudes.
